Albright to Serve as Keynote Speaker at Shelton Leadership Forum

RALEIGH, N.C. – Andy Albright will deliver the keynote address at the 15th annual General H. Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum on the campus of North Carolina State University at the McKimmon Center on Friday.

After Albright delivers his keynote, a special announcement regarding N.C. State and the Shelton Leadership Center project will be made by N.C. State chancellor Randy Woodson, General Shelton and Andy and Jane Albright.

Albright is the president and CEO of National Agents Alliance, an insurance marketing organization with agents in all 50 states headquartered in Burlington, N.C., and graduated from N.C. State with a degree in textile sciences. Albright, who is also a motivational speaker and author, serves on the Entrepreneurship Initiative’s advisory board, is a member of the advisory board for the N.C. State University Engagement and is the namesake of the Andy and Jane Albright Entrepreneurs Village, where EI students take their ideas and put them into action.

Albright is the author of two books “The 8 Steps to Success” and “Millionaire Maker Manual.” He expects his third book to be published in 2017.

The Shelton Forum is committed to providing excellence in inspirational leadership and professional development. The forum’s primary focus centers on the importance of values-based leadership development for corporations, educational institutions, community agencies and public officials. The goal of the event is to link varied constituencies in professional dialogue around values-based leadership development to enhance the opportunity for community partnerships and personal growth.

Albright, who is a loyal supporter of N.C. State academics and athletics, said being asked to speak at the event was an honor.

“When you talk about great leaders, it doesn’t get any better than General Shelton,” Albright said. “He’s an American hero and I want to do anything and everything I can to help grow the Shelton Leadership Center project because it brings together two of my favorite things in leadership and entrepreneurship. When you add that this project is happening at N.C. State, then it takes my excitement level even higher. I can’t wait to be there with so many great leaders and people.”
The event features several high-level executives from different professional ranks. In addition to Albright, the forum will feature Marshall Goldsmith (New York Times best-selling author of MOJO and What Got You Here Won’t Get You There), Sharon Decker (Senior VP of Strategic Initiatives Tryon International Equestrian Center), Gayle Lanier (Senior VP Duke Energy), Nicholas LaRusso (Distinguished Investigator of the Mayo Foundation) and Paul Odland (Sales Leader at State Farm Insurance Companies).
