BURLINGTON, N.C. – The 13 winners of the Fourth Quarter Women’s Contest were announced at the beginning of the month and are now just days away from reaping the rewards of their hard work. The women will receive special treatment in the days leading up to National Convention, and will receive special recognition during the event.
Contest winners will kick off their celebration as guests on Andy Albright’s weekly live show – The Wednesday Call (TWC) – on Jan. 30. Following the show, the women will be treated to a VIP bowling outing, meals with Jane Albright and the top 15 producers’ wives, and a special guest who will speak to the women at the Albrights’ house.
Albright is looking forward to having the winners in town, and said the time will be encouraging and beneficial to them.
“I think our guest speaker is going to bring a ‘wow’ factor to these leaders and be encouraging for them to be more successful in 2013,” Albright said.
After the guest speaker’s visit, the women will be honored as the first guests to stay in the Albrights’ new guest house.
On Thursday, Jan. 31, the women will spend the day with Albright and the top 15 producers’ wives, and will enjoy reserved seating at the Women’s Seminar that evening in Raleigh, N.C. Over the weekend, they will receive memorable recognition on stage at National Convention, as well as a special gift from Albright.
Of the 13 winners, three women are new agents and 10 are veteran agents. For these women, winning the contest signifies pride and success.
As a new agent and winner, Carey Agnitsch feels that this contest – and her time with NAA – has inspired personal and professional growth.
“My attitude has changed,” Agnitsch said. “A lot of that comes from the support I’ve never had. I’ve been in insurance for 13 years and I’ve never seen the support that people at NAA have.”
Other winners share in this growth, agreeing that the Alliance has provided the support they need to set and reach their goals.
“My new goal is to make a lot more money than last year,” said Minerve Prophil, a veteran agent with NAA. “If you believe it, you can achieve it. I know I will make it all the way.”
Debbie Benn, also a veteran agent, said that changing her mindset and following all of the little steps helped her reach her goal. She has achieved one goal, and now she is setting new ones.
“My new goal is to be in the top 15 of NAA,” Benn said. “The top 15 producers – not just the top 15 women.”
In addition to setting higher income goals, Benn has set goals to give more to multiple charities as her income increases.
Each of the women encourages other agents to push harder and never give up on their goals. From experience, these winners know that hard work isn’t easy, but that it can be very rewarding.
As the time for their reward grows near, the women look forward to the time they will spend with leaders they admire.
“I’m excited to be around the energy,” Agnitsch said. “I went to Fall Forwards – I want to be around the knowledge and the energy. I’m excited to do that again.”
Prophil and Benn added that they were proud of their success but still had more room to grow.
“I just can’t wait to spend time with Jane and the other women,” Prophil said. “I am sure I will learn so much from them. I just want to be there!”
These women, however, are not the only ones looking forward to this celebration.
“I’m really excited for the top ladies to visit next week,” Albright said. “I think these women’s contests are just another avenue that NAA has created for anybody to do what we do best – have fun, make money and make a difference.”
Some of the Fourth Quarter Women’s Contest winners are continuing to work toward winning new contests, like the First Quarter Women’s Contest.
The women with the top three issue paid personal production between Dec. 28, 2012 and March 28, 2013 will win an exclusive dinner with Andy and Jane Albright.
“I am working to win the First Quarter Women’s Contest,” Prophil said. “I don’t know if I will win, but I’m pushing!”
