One of National Agent Alliance’s insurance carriers, who also recently teamed up with NAA on a community service project in Fiji, has once again opened their hearts and offered their time to those in need. More than 200 volunteers from Foresters, The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center and non-profit organization KaBOOM! teamed up on Oct. 13to build a new playground for children in San Diego.
In less than eight hours, they were able to build a new playground at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, which will benefit thousands of children and their families in the community.
The playground began to become a reality when community leaders met with KaBOOM! and Foresters to design their dream playground during a Design Day event in August, where they used the children’s drawings to help create the final dream playground design.
Foresters has invested more than $7 million with KaBOOM!, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving outdoor playtime for children, since 2006 in building almost 100 playgrounds across the U.S. and Canada.
But, Foresters’ large heart for children doesn’t stop at just building playgrounds in the U.S. and Canada; it recently teamed up with National Agents Alliance in Fiji last month to help provide new desks, tables, bookshelves and backpacks filled with personal necessities like shoes and toothbrushes for the children at Ilaisa Memorial School in the Semo community.
Between NAA and Foresters, more than 250 people volunteered their time during the Fiji trip, which agents had won as a result of being top producers. They helped assemble, paint and stuff backpacks for 85 students at the school, all while living by NAA’s goal of “Having fun, making money and making a difference.”
NAA President and CEO Andy Albright said Foresters is an international life insurance provider with a heart for those in need.
“Once again Foresters is making efforts to enhance the lives of children by building a playground at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, just one month after helping children in Fiji,” Albright said. “Foresters’ mission to help those in need is why NAA continues to partner with the life insurance provider in making our local and international communities a better place for everyone. We are excited to work with Foresters again in the future to continue helping those in need.”
