Ellen and Hal Rosen were both born in St. Louis, Missouri and have spent practically their entire lives in the “Show Me” state. Hal received a degree from the University of Missouri, while Ellen went to work as a beautician so the couple could get married once Hal graduated.
Prior to joining National Agents Alliance, the Rosen’s worked in the vacation industry – working with five resorts on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. The Rosen’s business was great for 19 years and then the “do not call” list was passed by congress and they could only invite prospective clients to see our product that were not on the list. Ellen Rosen finally pushed her husband to post his resume on Monster.com, and later received a call from Tamara Roberts.
“Once the resume was on Monster, we received tons of calls from many insurance companies and I simply wasn’t interested,” Ellen Rosen said. “For some unknown reason, Hal answered Tamara’s call and then watched the Tuesday night webinar with ‘Fitz’ on the board.”
The Rosens had found a new opportunity and career. After training with Paul Roberts in Dallas, Texas, the Rosens decided to attend NAA’s Leadership Conference. That experience convinced the Rosens that National Agents Alliance was the right fit for them.
“We are older than most starting out in a new career, but it gave us a purpose in life, while our friends are retiring and bored,” Hal said. “At our age, we dream about being financially well off, being able to write a check without worrying about subtracting it from the checkbook, being able to build a financial legacy for our son and daughter and our three grandkids. Paul Roberts had lots of patience in working with us. We have a long way to go, but we know we will make it to the top.”
The Rosens now have the vehicle that wanted to be able to enjoy life. After 47 years of marriage, they have time to share with their children and three grandchildren.
“Where else can someone our age start a business,” Hal said. “and earn more than six figures without investing any money?”
